on the Meadows Foundation site. The Van Wickle house, also pictured, was built in 1722 by Pieterneltje^3's brother,
Symon^3 Van Wickle(n) (Evert^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes).

Background information:
Pieterneltje^3 Van Wicklen (Evert Jansz^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes) was born abt. 1694 in New Lots, Flatbush, Long Island. She
married Rem Hegeman on May 6, 1715. Rem was born about 1685 in Midwout (Flatbush) Long Island and died 1757 Flatbush.
Rem was bap. 8 Feb 1685 and made his will at Flatbush 17 May 1759 and it was proved 6 April 1767. In it he names four
children but not his wife.
Children: Metje^4 Hegeman was b. 1718 (Flatbush) and bap. 2 Nov 1718 in New Utrecht with Evert and Metje Van Wicklen
acting as sponsors. Evert^4 Hegeman was b. about 1720 (Flatbush) and bap. 17 Jan 1720 in New Utrecht with Hans Joris and
Seytie Bergen acting as sponsors. He married his cousin Seytie Suydam 17 Nov 1750 and died October 1779. (Seytie Suydam
was b. 28 Sep 1725.) Femmetje^4 Hegeman was b. 1725 (Long Island) and bap. 25 April 1725 at New Utrecht. She married Jan
Suydam who was b. 10 Feb 1736. Rem^4 Hegeman was b. 1726 (Long Island) and bap. 11 Aug 1728 at New Utrecht. (He was
formerly thought by Harry Macy, Jr. to have married Grietje Benham in 1748. However in the NYGBR (Oct. 2001, p. 302) he says the following
He was instead the first husband of his cousin Mette Suydam, daughter of Hendrick and Geertje (Van Wicklen) Suydam. Rem and Mette had two children:
Pieterneltje, baptized 28 January 1750 at Brooklyn (Frank L. Van Cleef, "Records of the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Flatbush" transcript,
Baptisms 1:58) and Rem, baptized 3 November 1751 at Bushwick (ibid 1:64). At the last baptism, the parents were "Deceased Rem Hegeman, Matje
Suydam" Samuel Gerritsen and Matje Hagerman had a license to marry 8 December 1757 (New York Marriages Previous to 1784, 151). They apparently
had no children.
